My
Products, Pricing Plan and Pricing Philosophy:
(Prices may change at any time, so reference the prices attached to the photos as the actual to expect.
Generally, prices will change after a school year to reflect my experience and personal development by
comparison to benchmarks--approximately June 15th of each year. Also, I generally offer a 15% early
purchase discount, rounded up to the quarter dollar, from my standard pricing within 30 days after
posting the photos and increase the prices 10% from standard after 3 months to account for the time to
unarchive the photos from long-term storage.)
General Product or Service List: (Generally, e-mail for a
pricing quote and/or appointment)
1) Events by request: Games, Tournaments, Parties etc.
2) Events I choose to attend: Generally local High School sporting events.
3) Posters upon request: Fundraisers where groups sell advertising around a group/team photo.
4) Collages: Generally, 2-5 photos collaged by my design or the customers request in 11x14 or 8x10
sized prints.
5) Slideshows: 5-10 minute photo slides shows for season-ending parties or events. Note that music
attached to a slideshow must be provided in mp3 format by the customer to ensure ownership/use rights
are met (copy distribution of music attached slideshows is not permitted by law).

full Senior Portrait packages at this time.): Contact for an appointment.
7) Group Photos: Contact for an appointment.

approximately 15% after 30 days and 15% more after 3 months.)
Tournament/General Event Early Purchase (within first 30 days): (Local
School Pricing is generally priced approximately 10% less than these prices)
* 4 x 6: $ 4.50

* 8x10: $12.25
* 8x12: $14.00

Digital Files
* $15 for a single digital photo file. Group shots are only sold in digital format for team
orders.
Discs (Digital files on a CD or
DVD)
Note: Situations may justify adjustments based on actual results.
* Per Individual: Generally, $3 per photo with a minimum order of $33 and $99 maximum cost for ALL
digital photo files of a particular player in a tournament or a full season (You must provide me a list
of the file numbers located at the top of the photo). If you purchase greater than or equal to $150
worth of standard prints (4X6 or 5X7) of a particular player, you may qualify for a complimentary disc
of all photos of that player. Contact Buzz for arrangements.
* Per game: $175 for all pictures shot in an entire game within 15 miles of the Tualatin Hill Parks and
Recreation Center on Walker Road. An additional charge of $5 per mile beyond that will be applied to
the first game. The volume of photos committed to is at least 140, resulting in about $1.25 per file;
but often there are >250 photos shared for downloading. Additional games as part of a tournament
will be $100 each.
How to pay... Payment for CDs must be received by check via U.S. Mail unless special arrangements are
made and agreed to in advance (contact the photographer at the "Contact Photographer" link above for
address and U.S. mail delivery commitments). Additional shipping may apply for outside of the domestic
U.S.
Philosophy:
One of the more difficult things I've come to learn
and appreciate of others in this field is the development of a pricing plan for your work. I've
generally attempted to price my photos competitively to my experience level, my equipment capability
and to the learnings of others with more experience than I. I target my market to local activity
(events and/or seasons within several miles of my home) with the strategy to produce a relatively large
volume of low-priced photos that range in quality from outstanding to good enough that I might find
them interesting as a memory if I were the customer (versus a small volume of just the outstanding
shots at higher prices). The risk associated with this strategy is lost sales due to folks losing
interest in browsing through lots of photos.
Individual print pricing is not difficult to establish, however, pricing for digital copies of the
photo files is a challenging one that I've learned most other photographers struggle with as well. Many
do not offer digital file sales to protect profitability of future print sales. Others offer high costs
for the files and/or offer them only at lower resolution (i.e., prints best at no greater than 4x6 or
5x7). At this time, I'm still driven more to enable people to purchase and enjoy their photos at a
reasonable cost without fear of lost future revenue. I trust that the relationships I establish will
honor my profitability objective and not take advantage of this.
